GDF-talk -- GDF-talk list

About GDF-talk
English (USA)

The GDF-Talk list is a discussion group for graduates, accepted applicants who have received an invitation to scheduled training, qualified puppy walkers and staff of the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind. This list is set up to discuss raising, training and working with dogs from the Guide Dog Foundation. It is also a way for graduates to interact with staff, ask questions, pose issues and offer suggestions.
This is a closed list, meaning that membership is limited to the above categories of people. All subscribers to the list will be verified with the Guide Dog Foundation staff as either graduates, students with scheduled training dates or qualified puppy walkers. Once verified, they will be subscribed to the list.
Guide Dog Foundation staff may interpret messages or discussion threads to advise and influence policies and procedures. All staff will observe strict confidentiality and will not share messages without the express permission of the message sender. Staff on the list may contact individuals directly regarding messages for clarification.
The GDF-Talk list is a family. The list strives to maintain a safe atmosphere for respectful discussions. Although we may disagree, all members will keep discussions free of personal attacks. We enjoy talking with each other about our dogs. From time to time, some of us enjoy writing from our dogs' point of view. All messages sent in our dogs' voices should be preceded by the words "dog chat:". This will help those who do not wish to read such messages to filter them. We hope you enjoy this list and participate often.
