Pufapalooza Memorial Haiku Gallery

On September 16th Nick at Nite presented an 8-hour "Pufapalooza" marathon, showcasing the finest works of Sid and Marty Krofft, 70's kids-show geniuses. Although the shows now seem even more cheesy to me than they did when I first saw them, I must say I was impressed enough by the large-headed puppets with googly-eyes and the cheesy music and the attempts to showcase yet another young boy star, I wrote these haiku poems for each of the shows featured in the marathon. Enjoy!

HR Pufnstuf

H.R. Pufnstuf
He's your friend when things get rough
His head scares me, though

Land of the Lost

Marshall, Will and Holly
Must fight the evil Sleestaks
Why not kill Chaka?

The Bugaloos

British bugs who fly
Higher than a summer breeze?
Someone had some shrooms!

Lidsville

Eddie Munster and
Charles Nelson Reilly and
a bunch of dumb hats.

Sigmund and the Sea Monsters

I've found the reason
Sigmund shares his name with Freud;
His family - phallic!

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl

Viva la Spandex!
Wonder why I feel funny
Watching Deidre Hall.

The World of Sid and Marty Krofft

I didn't see this.
I'm told that it's a good thing;
I might have gone nuts.
Back to the Living Island that is the Stupid Archive.

Or back to Lidsvill- er, I mean the Stupid Homepage.
